A Thoughtful Approach to Sustainability
Practical ways to cut energy, water and waste in a commercial kitchen, and what we do to help you choose equipment that lasts.
Our Sustainability Approach
The most sustainable piece of equipment is the one that is the right size for your kitchen and keeps working for years. Oversized or failing equipment wastes energy, water and food.
That is why every Daysun product page lists the capacity, dimensions and power or gas requirements, and why our team will help you choose the right model before you order.
We only describe a product as energy-efficient or certified (for example ENERGY STAR®) when the manufacturer's documentation confirms it.
Ask Before You Buy
Tell us your menu volume, space and utilities and we will recommend a correctly sized model. Call +1 (210) 370-7180 or email info@daysunrestaurantsupplies.shop, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM CT.
Four Practical Areas
Simple steps that reduce running costs as well as environmental impact.
Energy Efficiency
Compare the rated power (watts or BTU) shown on each product page, and choose a fryer, oven or freezer sized for your real volume rather than the largest model.
Switch equipment off or to standby during quiet periods, keep freezer and ice-machine condensers clean, and check door seals regularly.
Waste Reduction
Blast freezers let you prepare in batches and store safely, cutting food waste. Filtering fryer oil daily extends its life.
Recycle cardboard and pallets from your delivery, and check local rules on food-waste disposers and used cooking oil collection.
Durability & Product Care
Stainless-steel commercial equipment that is cleaned and serviced as the manufacturer recommends lasts longer and needs fewer replacement parts.
Have gas, electrical and plumbing connections made by a licensed professional; it keeps the manufacturer's warranty valid.
Product & Supplier Information
Our product pages use the specifications published by each manufacturer. If you need the manufacturer's spec sheet or manual, we will email it to you.
For certified energy ratings, check the ENERGY STAR commercial food service product finder.
Making Informed Choices
Three steps to pick equipment that is right first time, so nothing needs to be returned or replaced.
Review Specifications
Check product dimensions, capacity, power requirements, materials, and operating instructions before purchasing.
Compare Suitable Options
Compare documented features, maintenance requirements, intended uses, and other relevant specifications across products.
Ask Our Team
Send us your requirements and we will confirm the right model, or email the manufacturer's spec sheet, within one business day.
Not Sure Which Model Is Right?
Tell us what you cook, how much and where it will go. We reply within one business day, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Central Time.
