Freight Delivery Instructions

To help ensure your order arrives safely, please carefully inspect your freight shipment upon delivery. Following the steps below can help identify any shipping damage and make the claims process easier if needed.

Please do not feel pressured to sign for a shipment until you have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect its condition.

1. Standard Freight Delivery

Standard freight delivery is typically curbside delivery, meaning the shipment is delivered to the rear of the freight truck at the nearest safe and accessible location.

With standard freight delivery:

  • The customer is responsible for unloading the shipment.

  • The driver is generally not responsible for unloading, unpacking, or moving products inside the building.

  • If your location does not have a loading dock or forklift, we recommend requesting Liftgate Delivery (when available) during checkout.

Prepare Before Delivery

Before your shipment arrives, ensure you have:

  • Adequate personnel to assist with unloading

  • Appropriate unloading equipment, such as:

    • Forklift

    • Pallet jack

    • Hand truck

    • Dolly

    • Other suitable lifting tools if necessary

Preparing in advance helps ensure a safe and efficient delivery.

2. Inspect the Packaging

Before signing the delivery receipt, carefully inspect the outside of the shipment.

Check for:

  • Torn or punctured packaging

  • Crushed or damaged corners

  • Broken pallets

  • Visible dents

  • Signs of impact or mishandling

If significant external shipping damage is visible, we recommend refusing the shipment and notifying both the freight driver and our customer support team immediately.

If you refuse the shipment due to shipping damage, we will work with the carrier to arrange an appropriate resolution.

3. Inspect the Contents

Whenever possible, inspect the contents of your shipment before signing the delivery paperwork.

Many freight carriers allow customers a reasonable opportunity to inspect shipments prior to acceptance, although inspection procedures may vary by carrier.

If additional inspection time is needed, politely ask the driver to allow sufficient time to verify the condition of your order.

If you experience any issues during delivery, please contact us immediately for assistance.

4. Examine the Equipment Carefully

After opening the shipment, inspect each item thoroughly.

Look for:

  • Scratches or dents

  • Bent or damaged corners

  • Damage to doors, handles, or exterior panels

  • Broken glass or plastic components

  • Damage to tubing, coils, or other exposed parts

If substantial shipping damage is discovered, you may choose to refuse the shipment.

If only minor cosmetic damage is present and you wish to accept the shipment, clearly note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt or Bill of Lading before signing.

If you are uncertain whether damage may affect the product's performance, contact our customer support team before accepting delivery.

Please retain all original packaging, pallets, and shipping documentation until the inspection process is complete.

5. Accepting or Refusing Delivery

After completing your inspection, you may either accept or refuse the shipment.

Accept the Shipment

If the shipment arrives in satisfactory condition:

  • Sign the delivery receipt.

  • Keep all shipping documents for your records.

Accept with Damage Noted

If minor cosmetic damage is present but the product remains functional:

  • Record all visible damage on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading before signing.

  • Contact us promptly so we can assist with the next steps if needed.

Refuse the Shipment

If the shipment has substantial shipping damage that may affect the product's functionality or safety, you may refuse delivery and notify us immediately.

We will work directly with the freight carrier to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Carrier Waiting Time

Some freight carriers limit the amount of time available for unloading or inspection. Additional waiting charges may apply if unloading exceeds the carrier's permitted time.

Preparing your unloading area and inspection process before the truck arrives can help avoid unnecessary delays.
